Danielle-My First Born May 19, 1974
Did you know my Danielle, that you were a Honeymoon baby? Not planned but a true gift from God. You were born two weeks ahead of schedule. Being new parents was such an awsome but scary experience. I didn't deliver you by natural child-birth, but rather the old fashion way, I was "put out!" Sometimes I regret that decision because I was soooo out of it, I didn't get to hold you until I woke up a few hours later. The first thing all mothers do when they meet their little one, is to count their fingers and toes. After that, they usually hold their baby close to get the wonderful scent of a newborn. There is nothing like it (except the smell of newborn puppies). When you were born, daddy was so excited he couldn't wait to tell the family. He was walking out of the hospital and saw grandma Florence and grandpa Sal coming from the parking lot. There were rows of bushes lining the entrance of the hospital and daddy did giant hurdles, one after another, all the way out to greet them with the news. (by the way, by the time your sister was born, he couldn't jump the bushes. They were either too tall or it was because he was older). Thank you for being such a precious gift from God. Love Mom
